SAFE GUN HANDLING CLASS
PURPOSE:
This course is for the student who wishes to separate their firearm operation and safe handling training apart from their shooting and marksmanship instruction, into two focused classes.
As a participant in the Safe Gun Handling Class, each student will benefit from an active hands-on-guns approach, with access to various brands and actions of semi-automatic pistols within the structured safety of an ammunitions-free, classroom environment.
The successful student will receive a Safe Gun Handling Completion Certificate.

• 4 Rules of Firearm Safety
• Ammunition selection and storage
• Ammunition malfunctions
• Identification of parts of semi automatic pistols
• Operations of parts on single, double and double single action semi-automatic pistols
• Theory of proper sight alignment and sight picture
• Shooting Fundamentals (eye dominance,
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: None. Long Shot will supply semi automatic pistols for classroom instruction. You are encouraged to bring your own gun to this class for a deeper understanding of its operation. There is no shooting involved in this class. There is a 20 question exam.
TUITION:
$150.00 per individual student
COURSE LENGTH:
2.5 hrs in classroom, includes 20 question multiple choice exam.
On class day, student must arrive 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork.

No previous classes needed to register.

GRADING POLICY:
Please note: Each student must correctly answer no fewer than 15 of 20 questions on the classroom exam to pass this class.
Any student not meeting this standard will receive immediate remedial help from their instructor(s). After reviewing the incorrect answers with their instructor(s), they will be able to take the exam a second time.
